   Rebecca Hollins

   Lead maths tutor

   Rebecca Hollins taught high-school mathematics in central Ohio for eleven years before founding Quillfield, and now tutors everything from pre-algebra to AP Calculus. She starts each learner from the last test that went badly rather than from chapter one, runs most of the starting assessments, and writes a short note after every lesson so a family can see what was covered and what comes next.

   Daniel Okoro

   Science tutor

   Daniel Okoro holds a master’s degree in chemistry and spent four years as a teaching assistant in introductory college labs. He tutors middle-school science and high-school biology, chemistry and physics, and draws almost every idea on the board before a formula is written down. Where a science unit depends on algebra a learner has not met yet, he teaches that step first.

   Priya Raman

   Reading and writing tutor

   Priya Raman is a former middle-school English teacher who works with readers from Grade 3 upwards and with high-school and college writers. Younger learners read aloud with her and explain what a passage meant; older ones bring a draft and leave with questions written in the margin rather than corrections. The words on the page stay the learner’s own.

4. 04

   Thomas Albrecht

   Exam preparation lead

   Thomas Albrecht plans and teaches the SAT and AP preparation blocks and most study-skills sessions. He builds each block from a timed diagnostic on official practice material, tracks which question types cost the most time, and keeps the final week for full timed sections. He also arranges lesson times and moves sessions when a school calendar changes.
