A scissor-over-comb or clipper-and-scissor cut to a length agreed at the chair, finished with a straight-razor neck shave, a hot towel on the nape and a styling product chosen for the hair type. The length is checked in the hand mirror from the back and both sides before the cape comes off.

Suits a short-to-medium cut kept on a four- to six-week cycle, or a first visit where the length is still being decided.

The sides and back are taken down to the skin with a foil shaver and blended upward through the clipper guards into the length left on top. The fade height, low, mid or high, is marked at the start with the client watching, and the blend is worked by hand until no line shows under the shop lights.

Suits a sharp, short profile that is kept every two to three weeks to hold its shape.

The beard is combed out, trimmed to an even length with clipper guards and scissors, then the cheek line and neckline are set with a straight razor over warm lather. The shape is agreed against the jaw before any line is cut, and a beard oil or balm finishes it.

Suits a beard between visits, or one being grown out that needs its edges held while the length comes in.

A traditional wet shave: two hot towels to soften the beard, pre-shave oil, a brushed lather, then a fresh single-use blade in a straight razor taken with the grain and, where the skin allows, a second pass across it. A cold towel and an alcohol-free balm close the shave. It is not given over broken or inflamed skin, and the reason is explained.

Suits an occasion, a reset after a long beard, or a client who wants a closer shave than a cartridge razor gives.

The classic haircut and the beard trim booked as one hour in the same chair, so the neckline of the cut and the line of the beard are set together and meet cleanly. It includes the hot towel, the razor line-up and the mirror check from both services.

Suits a client who has both done on the same cycle and wants the hairline and the beard line to agree.

A haircut for children twelve and under, given at the same chair with a booster seat. Clippers are used only where the child is comfortable with the noise, and scissors do the rest. A parent or guardian stays in the shop for the whole appointment, and no razor is used on a junior cut.

Suits a first haircut, a school-term tidy, or a child who needs a calmer, shorter appointment.
