Four people, four records

Four people run Lantern Table Kitchen between them. Each record states the role held and the two services it concentrates on, so a visitor can tell who is on the pass and who is on the counter before walking in. The photograph beside a record shows the work rather than a posed portrait — a cup finished at the counter, a plate under the pass lamp — because the work is the part worth looking at.

The four records

  • A jug of steamed milk being poured into a cup held in one hand at the counter, photographed from above the shoulder.

    Eleanor Pryce

    Founder and host

Eleanor Pryce opened Lantern Table Kitchen on Lantern Row and still works the room through service, seating walk-ins, checking the day’s plate against what the market actually delivered, and answering questions about the breakfast before it is ordered. Enquiries about the long table at the back are read by this role, and the reply states which dates are actually open rather than inviting a visitor to turn up and hope.

    Service focus

  • A hand finishing two plates under the low lamp of a kitchen pass, the rest of the room dark behind it.

    Tomás Reyes

    Head chef

Tomás Reyes writes the day’s lunch plate each morning from the week’s delivery and bakes the loaf the soup is served with, starting on the bench several hours before the door opens. Pastry and the plate share one oven, so the order of the morning is fixed rather than improvised. Dietary questions sent through the contact form are answered by this role before a visit, not at the table.

    Service focus

  • Two hands setting a loaded portafilter into the group head of an espresso machine behind the counter.

    Nadia Ferrante

    Pastry and coffee lead

Nadia Ferrante sets the pastry counter before opening and chooses the roaster the kitchen pours, tasting each delivery before it goes on the board. The selection changes daily and nothing is held back for the afternoon, so the counter is at its widest in the morning. Larger pastry orders, and questions about coffee for the private table, are quoted by this role in writing.

    Service focus

  • A hand lifting a dark mug of coffee from a wooden table beside an open book, seen from above.

    Jonah Whitfield

    Guest experience coordinator

Jonah Whitfield answers the contact form and the telephone, confirms what a visitor can expect on the day, and passes dietary notes to the kitchen before the visit rather than at the table. This role holds no reservation book: an enquiry opens a conversation and a written reply follows during opening hours. Nothing sent through this website reserves a table on its own.

Describe the staff specialty needed

A request for a specific person is recorded and answered directly. Availability is confirmed separately and a named request does not hold a table.

Or write to hello@lanterntablekitchen.example and the kitchen replies during opening hours.
