Grounds and maintenance lead
Runs the seasonal maintenance rounds and most of the site visits that start a job, noting sun, slope, soil and access before a plan is drawn. The role explains what a garden will need to stay in shape, which work can wait for the right season and how often a crew has to visit to keep it there.
Planting and soil specialist
Plans and plants beds, borders and kitchen gardens, starting with the soil rather than the plant list. Each site is checked for drainage, light and existing roots before plants are chosen, and every plant is set out on the ground for approval before a hole is dug.
Dry stone waller and path builder
Builds dry stone walls, stone edging and gravel paths. Stone is sorted by size and shape before the first course is laid, and every base is dug and compacted first, because a wall or a path is only ever as level as the ground it sits on.
Hedge and shrub specialist
Handles hedge cutting, shrub pruning and the tidy finish at the end of each visit, timing each cut to the plant rather than to the calendar. The role keeps hedges dense at the base and clears every clipping, so a garden looks cared for rather than recently cut.
Between the four of them, every service on the list has somebody who works on it. Naming a preferred person on the contact form is possible; availability is confirmed separately.
