Brushwood Grooming Room grooms one pet at a time on Brushwood Avenue, with six services at published prices and the plan for every coat agreed with the owner at drop-off.
Each service says what is included, how long it usually takes and what it costs. Nothing is added at collection that was not agreed at drop-off.
A warm bath, a low-heat dry and a full brush-out, with nails, ears, feet and face tidied. The coat length stays as it is. About 90 minutes.
$58
Everything in the bath and tidy, followed by a clipper and scissor haircut to a length agreed at drop-off. 2.5 to 3 hours.
$92
A conditioning bath, a high-velocity dry and a thorough rake-out of loose undercoat for double-coated breeds. About 2 hours.
$74
A short, gentle first visit for puppies: a quick bath, a quiet dry and time to get used to the table and the sounds. About 45 minutes.
$40
Nails trimmed and filed smooth, hair between the pads cut back, and a plain paw balm to finish. 15 to 20 minutes.
$22
A bath or waterless clean, a gentle brush-out and nail trim, on quiet cat-only Wednesdays. About 90 minutes.
$85
Every visit starts at the desk, where the groomer looks over the coat with the owner, agrees the service and the finish, and confirms the price. Pets are groomed one at a time, dried by hand rather than left in a heated cage dryer, and rested in a quiet kennel between steps. Brushwood Grooming Room is a grooming studio, not a veterinary practice: it never sedates a pet, and if something looks wrong it stops and calls the owner rather than carrying on.
Bathing, rinsing and finishing: the everyday work of a grooming room. These licensed photographs illustrate that work and are credited on the privacy page.
Three groomers and a front desk coordinator run the grooming room. The lead groomer plans the haircuts, and the bathing room starts every visit.

Bather and deshedding specialist
Runs the bathing room and the deshedding treatments, and is patient with large, strong or nervous dogs.
Marisol asked for a photo of the cut I wanted and repeated it back before starting. Juniper came home looking exactly like the photo.
Hannah Brooks, with Juniper
The deshedding treatment was explained honestly: a huge amount of undercoat came out, with no promise that the shedding would stop.
Luis Carrillo, with Bruno
Mochi hates water, so Priya used a waterless clean and took breaks. No dogs in the building made a real difference.
Grace Whitfield, with Mochi
A bath and tidy keeps the coat at its current length; a full groom and haircut changes the length or shape. Double-coated breeds that shed heavily usually suit the deshedding treatment. When two services seem equally right, a short description of the pet in the contact form is enough for the desk to suggest one.
A current rabies vaccination record is required for every dog and cat, and dogs should also be up to date with the vaccinations their vet recommends. Owners are asked to walk dogs before drop-off and to mention any health conditions, sore spots, past reactions to grooming or recent surgery when booking.
Brushing out tight mats close to the skin is painful, so the groomers do not do it. Where matting is severe, the safe option is usually a short clip that lets the coat grow back evenly. The groomer explains this at drop-off, and no change to the plan or the price is made without the owner agreeing.
No. Brushwood Grooming Room is a grooming studio, not a veterinary practice, and it never sedates or medicates a pet. If a pet seems unwell, in pain or too distressed to groom safely, the groomer stops, calls the owner and suggests speaking to a vet.
The pet’s breed, rough size and the service wanted are enough to start. Brushwood Grooming Room replies with the times that are actually open.
An occasional email about opening hours, cat-only Wednesdays and the dates holiday appointments open. One address, nothing else, and it stops the moment it is asked to.
It is published in the open, where anyone can copy it, so it is left short of its final polish and audit pass. The design chosen is fully audited and polished before it goes live.
