Vestry Rose Weddings opened on Marlowe Row to plan a small number of weddings properly and to publish what each part of one costs. This page explains how that works in practice and where it stops.

Act 01
Welcome
Vestry Rose Weddings is one studio on Marlowe Row and takes twelve weddings a year on purpose. A couple does not start with a contract: one consultation is held open each week, the date is talked through before a figure is quoted, and the quote arrives in writing afterwards. The only thing held in advance is the date itself, and that is held in writing for fourteen days.

Act 02
Method
The studio reads the venue first and writes the timeline second. One planner holds the whole day, every supplier quote is put in writing before it is agreed, and the running order is rehearsed rather than improvised. That order is why a couple reads a real scope for one service instead of a package that changes shape after the deposit. Prices sit beside those scopes on the Services page rather than behind an enquiry: two of the six carry a “from” figure and one is quoted in writing, and in each of those the exact amount is confirmed before anything is agreed. No supplier commission is taken on top.

Act 03
What to expect
A couple should expect to be told what a figure will not reach. A budget that cannot carry the guest list is said so in the first reply rather than after a deposit, and a date the studio cannot hold properly is refused rather than taken. Questions about access, dietary needs and guest numbers are answered in writing before the consultation rather than on the day, and a reply arrives during opening hours.

Publish the price
Every service carries a figure on this website. A “from” price is the lowest price for the stated scope, never an opening bid.

Say what a figure will not reach
A budget that cannot carry the day is said so in the first reply. The studio does not quote for a wedding it cannot deliver at the figure named.

Confirm before holding
A message is an enquiry. Nothing is held until a person at the studio has replied and named the date, the scope and the price.

Send one message
Name the service, the date and the rough number of guests. A telephone number is optional.

Read the reply
The studio answers during opening hours, confirms the scope and states the exact price.

Agree the date
Only then is the date set aside, and the confirmation comes in writing.
What the studio does not do
Expectations
The studio is closed on Monday and closes at 4:00 PM on Sunday, and it does not take consultations outside those hours. It does not work outside South Carolina, does not sell day-of coordination under the name of full planning, and takes no commission from any supplier it recommends. Twelve weddings a year is the whole capacity, so a date already held cannot be doubled up. This website sends messages and shows prices; it does not hold a date.
