What the two forms collect

Contact form data

The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, the service selected and the message written. Nothing else is collected by the form, and there is no hidden field.

Do not send account numbers, tax identification numbers, scanned documents or any other sensitive material through this form. Sensitive information is exchanged through the approved process the studio sets out in its reply.

Subscribe form data

The subscribe form at the foot of every page except this website's not-found page collects one email address, and the address of the page the form was sent from. No name and no other detail is requested.

Why the studio collects it

Contact form data is used to answer the enquiry and, where work follows, to keep a record of what was agreed. Subscribe data is used only to send the filing-date notes described beside the form.

Neither set of data is sold, rented or used to build a profile, and neither is used for advertising.

Who receives it

Messages reach the four people who work at Northline Tax Studio. Delivery depends on an email provider and a form-handling service, which process the message in order to deliver it and act only on the studio's instruction.

The names of those processors are published in the launch checklist for this website and are confirmed on request.

How long it is kept

An enquiry that does not become work is kept for twelve months and then deleted. Where work follows, the record is kept for the period the relevant tax records must be retained.

A subscriber address is kept until the subscriber asks for it to be removed, or until the notes stop being sent.

The security limitation

Traffic to this website is encrypted in transit, and access to messages is limited to the four people whose roles are set out on the Staff page. No website form can be described as secure enough for tax identification numbers, account numbers or documents, and this one is not.

That is a limitation of the medium, not a temporary state, which is why the form asks visitors not to send that material.

Visitor choices

A visitor may write by email instead of using the form. Every subscribe email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect on the next send.

This website sets no advertising cookie and runs no third-party analytics script.

Asking for deletion

A deletion request can be made by email. The studio confirms in writing what was deleted and what, if anything, it is required to keep for a tax retention period.

A request is answered within thirty days.
