01 · Services

Three of six

Each service is published with its scope, its price and the kind of customer it suits. Nothing on this website completes a booking.

All six services & prices

01.1 · Priced index

  1. 01Individual returnfrom $225
  2. 02Small-business returnfrom $650
  3. 03Monthly bookkeepingfrom $320

02 · Approach

The scope is agreed in writing before the work starts, and the price follows the scope.

Northline Tax Studio works to a stated scope rather than an open engagement. A published figure applies to the scope printed beside it; anything outside that is quoted before it begins, so the number on the invoice is the number that was agreed. How the studio works.

02.1 · Three steps

From the first question to finished work

  1. 01

    The scope is written

The question is put in writing with the documents it needs, and the published service it falls under is named.

    Before anything is charged

  2. 02

    The price follows the scope

The figure published beside that scope is confirmed in writing. Anything outside it is quoted separately before it starts.

    Same working day

  3. 03

    The work is returned indexed

Finished work comes back with a note of where each figure came from, so any line can be traced to the document behind it.

    The agreed date

The edge of a ruled ledger page, a red margin rule down the left and a stepped alphabetical index tab running from R to W down the right.
RecordWorking papers are indexed, so any figure on a finished return can be traced back to the document it came from.

02.2 · What one engagement contains

01 Scope
A written statement of what the service covers, what it excludes and which published price applies to it.
02 Inputs
The documents needed, listed once at the start. Nothing further is requested unless the scope changes and is requoted.
03 Handoff
The finished work, an index of the figures it contains and the filing dates it creates for the year ahead.
04 Next step
One named action and the date it falls due. Where no further work is needed, the record says so instead.

I arrived with two years of freelance invoices in a shoebox and one real question: whether to amend the previous year or leave it alone. Marisol Vance walked through both routes, said plainly which one came out cheaper and why, and we decided to amend. …

02

We moved the monthly bookkeeping over after a year of doing it ourselves badly. The first conversation was mostly about what we already had rather than what we ought to buy: three spreadsheets, a card reader and no reconciliation anywhere. Otis Brennan set one close date each month and has kept to it since. …

What I noticed first is that the price published on the website was the price I was charged. I had asked about quarterly review and was told directly that our turnover did not need it yet and that we should look again in a year. …

06 · Questions

Four of eight

All eight questions

06.1 · Answers

01 How should a visitor choose a service?

Start with the service descriptions and prices. Contact the business when two options appear equally suitable.

02 Are the displayed prices final?

Published prices apply to the stated scope. Any “from” or custom price requires a confirmed estimate before work begins.

03 What should a first-time visitor prepare?

Bring only the documents directly relevant to the question. Sensitive information should be exchanged through the business’s approved process, not an ordinary website message.

04 Can a visitor request a specific staff member?

Yes. Use the contact form to name a preferred staff member; availability is confirmed separately.

07 · Contact

Send the studio one specific question

An enquiry is answered by email or telephone during office hours. A message is a question, not an appointment, and nothing on this website confirms one.

Or write to hello@northlinetaxstudio.example and the studio replies Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
