What the contact form collects
The contact form collects a name, an email address, an optional telephone number, the service selected and the message written. Nothing else is collected by it, and no field on it is optional except the telephone number.
Those details are used to answer the enquiry. They are not added to a mailing list, and selecting a service on the form does not create a booking or hold a time.
What the subscribe form collects
The subscribe form collects an email address and nothing else. It is used to send the occasional notice the form describes.
The two forms are separate. Sending a contact message does not subscribe an address, and subscribing does not create an enquiry.
Why the information is collected
Contact details are held to answer an enquiry and to carry out any work that follows from it. A subscribed address is held to send the notices it was given for.
Neither is used to build a profile, neither is sold, and neither is passed to anyone advertising anything.
Who else receives the information
Messages are delivered by an email service acting on the instruction of the business, and the website is served by a hosting provider. Both see the data in the course of delivering it.
No advertising network, analytics service or social platform receives the contents submitted through either form.
How long it is kept
An enquiry that does not lead to work is kept while it is being answered and for a short period afterwards, then removed.
Where work follows, the record is kept for as long as the business needs it for that work and for its own accounts.
Security, and its limits
Form data is sent over an encrypted connection and is held by the processors named above under their own controls.
No payment detail is collected anywhere on this website, and none should be sent through either form.
Choices a visitor has
A subscribed address can be removed at any time, and every notice sent carries the means to do it.
A correction to a contact detail can be asked for using the same telephone number or email address published on the Contact page.
Asking for removal
Removal of an enquiry or a subscribed address is requested through the Contact page, and the request is acted on rather than argued with.
Where a record must be kept for accounting reasons, that is stated in the reply rather than left unexplained.

A privacy question can be sent through the contact form or raised using the published telephone number.
